THE DISTRICT OFFICE SUMMER HOURS ARE
MONDAY - THURSDAY 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Honors Algebra
Instructor: Mrs. Neuerburg
Class Description:†

Honors algebra is equivalent to the algebra class at the high school. Due to the challenging nature of this class students should be prepared to take ownership of their learning, advocate for themselves, and be proactive about their learning. Some concepts students will be learning include quadratic functions, exponential function, inequalities, and sequences. We are also going to be focusing on creating a growth mindset for students which will help students understand the benefits of hard work.†

Personal Expectations:†

In our class we will be using the Four Agreements to be our†best selves†every day.

1. Be Impeccable with your Word:
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak bad about yourself or to gossip about others.
2. Donít Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is based on their own experiences.† When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wonít be the victim of needless suffering.
3. Donít Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.
4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment and regret.
